[ 09/2021 ] Celebrating 10 Years in Business

In September of 2021, Centurion Construction Group, LLC officially celebrates our 10-year anniversary!  Centurion was founded in 2011 by Nate Book and Ralph Bartram with the mission of providing consistency and integrity to the construction industry.  Our core values of service and gratitude have remained consistent since inception and are the foundation of our success.

Centurion’s story begins in a tiny basement office where Nate, Ralph, and Lisa are making phone calls with the sounds of children running around in the background.  3 years later, after completing extensive renovations to what is now our office building, Centurion was officially settled in our new home on Industrial Drive in Lewisberry, where we still conduct business today.

Among our achievements are two consecutive appearances on Central Penn Business Journal’s list of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Central PA in 2019 and 2020 and being recognized as the Emerging Business of the Year in 2015.  Our most treasured successes come in the form of positive feedback and repeat business from our clients and our ability to, because of our success, consistently give back to, and serve, countless faith-based organizations in the community.

In a recent ‘Thank You’ letter to our employees published in our company newsletter, CEO, Nate Book, had this to say:

What does 10 years mean? I asked my children this question and they said, “Wow! That is a really long time!” I asked myself and thought, “Wow! That seems like the blink of an eye.” Our perspectives on time can vary greatly depending on our age, our season of life… Upon reflecting and digging deeper, I have become even more grateful; to God, to our spouses and families that support us, and to the amazing men and women of Centurion.

by far the coolest thing has been watching each one of you grow professionally and personally. I believe your continued steps to individual greatness is the sole reason for Centurion’s success.

We are at a critical time as a company, industry, country, and society. We are navigating changes and issues that we had not necessarily encountered in our past. We all see it, know it, and feel it. The reason we will successfully navigate all of it is because of you: the employees of Centurion. “

Additionally, we would like to sincerely thank our remarkable clients and business partners for continuing to put your trust in Centurion.  We absolutely couldn’t have achieved this milestone without you.

[ 05/2021 ] Scott D’Orazio – Project Manager

Centurion is pleased to introduce the newest member of our team, Scott D’Orazio!

As a project manager in our Small Projects Division, Scott’s goal is to ensure that our clients get the same level of attention and concern with their small construction projects as they do with their large projects.  Owner satisfaction does not end with the closing of a project, and it is Scott’s responsibility to demonstrate our commitment long after the project is complete.  Scott takes pride in everything he does, taking the extra step to ensure it’s done the right way by treating every detail of your project with care and facilitating proactive, clear, and accurate communication throughout the project team from inception to completion.  Scott comes to Centurion with a BS degree from West Virginia University, MS degree from McDaniel College, and EdD (AD) from Immaculata University.

[ 05/2021 ] Annual Company Picnic – Celebrating 10 Years!

Centurion held its annual company picnic on May 1st.  We were blessed with gorgeous weather for the summertime tradition that brings our whole Centurion family together!  This year’s event included lots of activities for the whole family; from a rock wall and axe throwing, to inflatables and carnival games!

This year’s event was extra special as we are celebrating 10 years in business.  We gratefully recognize each of our team members’ contribution to our continued success and enjoyed this opportunity to celebrate together with our families.

[ 03/2021 ] Celebrating Women in Construction

Centurion Construction Group is proud to partner as a featured business with NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) during their WIC week celebrations.  According to NAWIC, the focus of Women in Construction Week is to “highlight women as a viable component of the construction industry.  WIC week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.  It is also a time for local chapters to give back to their communities.”

This year, our local chapter of NAWIC invited Centurion to participate in collecting donations for Servants, a local nonprofit out of Red Lion, PA.  Servants describes their mission as “Serving Christ. Building Relationships. Transforming Lives. Providing Hope.”  One of the ways, among many, that Servants contributes to our community is through the distribution of ‘Blessing Baskets’ filled with household items.

Our staff came together in a big way to support this worthy cause and the representatives from NAWIC left with a car-full of donated items.  Thank you to NAWIC for inviting us to take part in this mission of serving our local community!

[ 02/2021 ] Daybreak Orrs Bridge Road Campus Grand Opening

Construction at Daybreak Church’s new Orrs Bridge Road campus is complete and they officially opened the doors during the Grand Opening Ceremony on Sunday, February 21st!  This joyous event welcomed their congregation and surrounding community to the new space with a morning full of worship and music.

Pictured above is the beautiful new lobby which is lovingly being referred to as “The Commons” as it is to be “a common place to meet new people, build relationships, and grow our heart for God and His mission.”

Another big ‘Thank You’ to Daybreak Church for choosing Centurion as your construction partner for this project.  We are proud to be a part of the Daybreak family!

[ 02/2021 ] Continuing Our Education

As part of Centurion’s ongoing efforts to continually develop and challenge our employees, we launched a continuing education program in October of last year to promote furthering our leadership skills and safety knowledge.  We have partnered with Dale Carnegie & Associates and OSHA outreach trainers to afford our employees opportunities to grow and refine their skillsets.

To date, we’ve seen nine of our jobsite Superintendents earn their OSHA 30 credentials!  Additionally, all members of our field staff are now Telehandler and MEWP certified.  Next steps for our field staff are ICRA and ASHE training.

On the office side of our operations, three members of our staff have earned certificates through Dale Carnegie Learning, namely the Professional Effectiveness, Leadership Excellence and Resilience in Leadership Certificate Paths, with three others in the process of earning theirs.

These accomplishments are a testament to the character and drive of our staff and we here at Centurion are incredibly proud of our team for their commitment to growth and enthusiasm for furthering their education.
