Centurion Construction has been acknowledged as #100 of the Top 250 Private Companies in Central Pennsylvania, ranked by total revenue, in Central Penn Business Journal’s list published in August. We are grateful for our continued growth and are appreciative of the recognition.
In July, Centurion took part in Human Life Services’s 8th Annual “Golf For Life” Tournament. Proceeds from this annual event benefit their mission of promoting life for York County families. We are grateful to join Human Life Services in celebrating 35 years of service!
Centurion is thrilled to welcome Jaimee Pelleschi to our team!
In her position as Project Coordinator, Jaimee proactively masterminds the minute details of each project. Liaising directly with subcontractors and vendors and tracking every element of a project from start to finish, Jaimee’s role is critical in ensuring that each project is completed within budget and schedule. Prior to joining Centurion, she has worked in business development, budgeting, and capital expenditure in the natural gas and water utility industries. Jaimee holds a Bachelor of Science in Energy Business and Finance with a minor in Economics from Penn State University.
Daybreak Church had its official groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, March 15th. Centurion was thrilled to be part of the joyous occasion and speak a few words of gratitude for the privilege of serving their congregation. We are proud to be part of the Daybreak family. CCG Estimator, Lauren Herr was recently awarded the CCC (Certified Church Consultant) Accreditation.
CCC Accreditation is administered and awarded by the NACDB (National Association of Church Design Builders) and involves attending a workshop and writing a thesis on a case-based church consulting simulation.
Lauren’s accreditation makes for three CCC’s at Centurion Construction.
To celebrate the official opening of their newly renovated hotel, Sure Stay in Elizabethtown had a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 23rd. Centurion was delighted to attend and thank Sure Stay once again for entrusting us with their extensive renovation project. It was a pleasure to work with the General Manager, Rose Shaffer, and her professional, hospitable staff.
Lauren Herr (Estimating / Pre-Construction) and Chris Ritchie (Project Manager) were afforded the opportunity to guest lecture an advanced estimating class of construction management students at Pennsylvania College of Technology. They discussed the specific bid process and the process of creating and implementing a process that works for the individual in a presentation they called “Construction Project Bid Process: Bringing Order Out of Chaos.”
Centurion was honored to take part in hosting a food drive to support LifePath Christian Ministries and Catholic Harvest Food Pantry’s “York Giving Thanksgiving Meal Box Distribution.” The goal for 2019 is to distribute approx. 1,900 Thanksgiving meal boxes to families in need in York County. With the help of our employees, clients, and partners in business, Centurion was able to collect a truck full of grocery items to donate to the food pantry! Thank you to everyone who gave to help support this ambitious community outreach effort!
To celebrate the official opening of their new Community Connections Center, Shalom House, a shelter for women and children in Harrisburg, had a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 2nd. Centurion was delighted to attend and speak a few words praising their mission. It has been an honor and privilege to partner with Shalom House on the construction and renovation of this building supporting their important service to the community.
In October, Centurion took part in MKT Metal Manufacturing’s annual “Shoot for Shriners” sporting clays fundraiser to support Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Shriners Hospitals provide care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs. Thank you to MKT for inviting us to be part of this special event to raise money for such a worthy cause!
