The Mechanicsburg Volunteer Fire Department held a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, August 23rd at 10:00 AM to mark the start of construction on its new state-of-the-art facility. The event was attended by members of the community, local officials, and state dignitaries who gathered to celebrate this significant milestone in public safety for the region.
Centurion Construction was well represented at the ceremony, with key team members in attendance: Howard Peters Project Manager; Wes Loe, Superintendent; Aaron Leighow, Director of Business Development; and Nate Book, CEO.
The project includes the construction of a new 16,800± square-foot facility. The modern building will feature a dedicated apparatus bay and a two-story structure housing support and living spaces designed to meet the growing needs of the department and community.
The new facility will enhance emergency response capabilities and provide improved accommodation for the dedicated volunteer firefighters who serve Mechanicsburg and the surrounding areas.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring this vision to life and look forward to the positive impact it will have for years to come.
