Centurion Construction Group is partnering with Fresh Express on the construction of a new solid waste building addition at their Harrisburg facility. This project involves the demolition and modification of existing structures to create a dedicated space for solid waste handling and operations. The addition will feature a pre-engineered metal building, an elevated steel platform, new concrete foundations, and upgraded loading areas. Additional improvements include new overhead doors, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical systems. The project is designed to provide a functional space that supports Fresh Express’s waste management operations while integrating with the existing facility.
Scope of Work:
- Site preparation and excavation
- Construction of a pre-engineered metal building addition with insulated wall panels and roofing.
- Installation of an elevated structural steel platform, stairs, guardrails, and protective bollards.
- Installation of new high-speed overhead doors
- Interior improvements, including acoustical ceilings, wall panels, protective coatings, and flooring finishes.
- Installation of plumbing systems
- Installation of HVAC equipment
- Extension of the existing fire sprinkler system to provide coverage throughout the new addition.
- Electrical upgrades
- Site drainage improvements including stormwater connections
