Growmark FS has once again partnered with Centurion. They are consolidating local operations at the Laurel location with a more efficient blending process and an increase in their total storage capacity. Local code requires that the building be non-combustible construction with 32’ high concrete walls and all galvanized steel.

Scope of Work:

Addition floor space & Equipment Upgrade
Increase storage capacity by 2,500 tons
Convert Blending process to State of the art with high-speed blender and automated weighing system

Growmark Warehouse & Maintenance Building – Massey, MD

Centurion is pleased to partner with Growmark again with a design-build project consisting of 2 new buildings on an existing Growmark agricultural support facility. The additions will consist of a warehouse for product storage and distribution with an integrated office space, as well as a new truck maintenance shop.

Growmark FS, LLC – Caledonia, NY

Growmark FS LLC has, again, partnered with Centurion on an exciting, large scale project at their Caledonia, NY Location.

The project involved:

Removal / Replacement of the Existing Rail Siding
Complete Re-Routing of the Electrical Utilities to existing building
Construction of a new, 18,000 SF, 5,000T Dry Fertilizer Blend Plant
Installation of a New Truck Scale and Foundation

The project began Late Summer / Early Fall of 2020 and was complete in time for the facility to be utilized during the Spring 2021 Planting Season.

Growmark FS, LLC – Gainesville, NY

After losing most of the liquid fertilizer and chemical capacity of their Gainesville, NY location in a fire during the Winter of 2019, Growmark FS engaged with Centurion to provide Design/Build Services for their replacement building.

The new building is an 8,500 SF fully insulated and conditioned pre-engineered metal building with new concrete foundations and slabs.

The newly constructed building is in the same location as the original building, providing GFS with a path back to normal operations. Construction on this project began in May 2020 and was completed in October 2020.

Growmark FS, LLC – Bridgeton Addition

On another project with Growmark FS, Centurion Construction provided Design/Build Services in the addition of approximately 5,500 SF of structure to address GFS’s changing needs at this location.

Existing dry fertilizer blending equipment, control systems and electrical gear were removed from the structure to allow work to start. Both additions house approximately 700T of additional dry fertilizer storage, an updated control room with state-of-the-art electrical and controls equipment, new fertilizer blending equipment, and the ability for future expansion in both square footage and controls/electrical system capacity. The project was completed in March 2020.

Growmark FS, LLC – Liquid Storage Building

Centurion was excited to work on this project. Growmark is a leader, innovator and a well-respected company within the agricultural and farming communities. We were presented the opportunity to design and build this addition in order to help facilitate their growing needs. Although the building construction is fairly standard, the rigging of the tanks, setting of pumps, process piping, controls and overall logistics of the product flow was the driving challenge throughout this project.

Growmark FS, LLC – 5000T Dry Fertilizer Blend Plant and Operations Office

This project for Growmark involved the demolition of their existing Dry Fertilizer Blend Plant at the Sangerfield, NY location and replacing it with a brand new, 5,000 Ton Dry Fertilizer Blending and Distribution Facility.

There were numerous challenges on this project involving owner operations/logistics, multiple utility relocations, coordination with the newly constructed railroad siding, and building the structure around an existing blending tower that was also retrofitted.

Growmark FS, LLC – 1800T Dry Fertilizer Blend Plant

Growmark FS identified a need to improve their Bloomsbury, NJ location to increase storage capacity and replace an existing, structurally deficient building and engaged with Centurion to complete this project.

The new storage facility has approximately 1,800 tons of dry fertilizer storage new receiving, blending, and load out equipment. This site had serious space considerations among other challenges such as coordination with the existing rail siding, and complex utility relocations.

Centurion has teamed up with our Trusted Partner, Growmark FS, LLC to complete another project, improving GFS’s Lewistown Location to allow them to better serve their customers in the Agricultural Market.

The project involves a 3,500 SF Loading Dock / Warehousing Addition and improvements to the Operations Office. Project completed March 2019.
